Welcome to Zipporah.

Zipporah was named for the daughter of Captain Irvington, the founding father of Irvington, Virginia. The home dates to the late 1800s but was completely remodeled in 2003. At that time Zipporah was also expanded to double it's original size, including the addition of a master bedroom and mahogano paneled dressing room, gourmet mahogany and marble kitchen, a large library and studio office, large wrap around porch, heated pool, and full service one bedroom apartment. There are three spacious bedrooms with ensuite baths featuring rock and tile. The oversized master bath offers a separate shower and jacuzzi.

Zipporah features an open floor plan perfect for entertaining or family living. Many weddings have been held here, due to the spectacular location, and the home has been photographed extensively for a number of publications, including Coastal Living.

The home sits on a double lot at the entrance to Carter's Creek and offers expansive views across the Rappahannock River. It is approximately seven miles downriver to the Chesapeake Bay. It features a 70 foot dock with 7 foot depth, a boat lift and plenty of slip space.

  1. I live in Virginia and have never heard of Irvington. It is spectacular.

I see you had GI issues. I was recently diagnosed with GERD and Barrett's in early September 2011. I ran into an old colleague/physician, in my travels who suggested a supplement. It took 7 weeks but I am now much better and pain free. I would like to talk more about it with you, if you are interested in learning about it. Yours in Good Health, ~Amy L.
